Located in the original home of the British worsted spinning industry, West Yorkshire Spinners have taken traditional expertise and heritage, and combined it with state of the art technology to produce some of the finest knitting yarns to come out of Yorkshire. As they are one of the few remaining companies in the UK using the worsted spinning technique, WYS are quite unique!
At the heart of their beliefs, lies an ethos of traceability, knowing the origin of the raw fibre ensures the finished product retains a consistently high standard.
Raw materials are all sourced by WYS and knitting yarn is produced on site in West Yorkshire, reducing the carbon footprint.... and the finished cost. This means that as knitters, we benefit from knitting with the finest of fibres at an exceptionally good price point... and do our bit to save the planet.
