Knitting yarn from the Yorkshire Wolds!
This range of yarns has been developed by Kath and Katie Foster, a mother and daughter venture combining a love of fibre and colour. The yarns are spun from the flock of Suffolk X sheep owned by the family.
Yarns include a Blue Faced Leicester/25% nylon 4 ply and other various weights including DK and aran; some of which are blended with alpaca for added luxury.
The BFL with nylon is a 100g skein of standard 4 ply, perfect for socks, scarves, hats and more. Most of the skeins are hand dyed and hand painted one-offs and are part of the 'Ewe One and Only' range.
The DK weight is spun from 50% Suffolk X/50% alpaca in a 100g skein. A fabulous blend of strength and luxury. Perfect for small accessory projects, including hats, gloves, mittens, wellie toppers and more.
For larger projects there is a balled range of Aran weight 50% Suffolk X/50% Alpaca and the 100% Suffolk X. The wool/alpaca mix gives the same strength and luxury as its DK cousin and the 100% Suffolk X is perfect for those traditional Aran knits that demand a strong wool.
There is also a fabulous rustic natural brown DK weight Suffolk X/alpaca available in 100g skeins. This beautifully marled yarn is a blend of 50% natural ivory Suffolk X with 50% chocolate Alpaca, giving the yarn a stunning depth and luxurious halo.
